Vaaka Partners to boost Tietokeskus’ growth
Tietokeskus Group, a Finnish provider of ICT infrastructure services, aims for continued growth by expanding its ownership base. Private equity investor Vaaka Partners is acquiring a 67 per cent interest in the company. Tietokeskus’ current management will continue as minority shareholders.
Tietokeskus has been growing at a fast pace over the past few years. During 2015–2016, the company’s net sales increased by 42 per cent to EUR 37 million. Vaaka Partners’ involvement will help continue this rapid growth pace. Tietokeskus aims to increase its net sales to EUR 100 million by 2020 both organically and through strategic acquisitions. With its customer-responsive approach, Tietokeskus will challenge other operators in the industry.
The company’s ambition is to grow into a nationwide provider in Finland and to recruit more top ICT infrastructure experts to continue its success story. Currently Tietokeskus employs about one hundred employees in the Helsinki area, Southwest Finland, the Satakunta region and the Pirkanmaa region.

Tietokeskus Group is a family-owned business founded in 1989. Tuomas Kaukinen will continue to serve as the CEO of the company. Tietokeskus’ customers include midmarket companies and public-sector organisations such as municipalities and cities.
The transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of November.
